Creaky floor over I beam
Hi guys, wanted to see if anyone has any ideas on how to remedy a creaky subfloor over an I beam. The beam is pushed all the way up to the subfloor and as far as I know the framers put some PL on the top of the beam before lifting into place but it looks like that hasnt done much. I did the rest of the reno myself so I know my way around some tools. The least destructive option I came up with is to cut plugs in the flooring and secure the subfloor with self tap screws into the I beam. Does that sound like something that could work? submitted by /u/Broad_Item3563 [link] [comments]
