DIY mobile platform

I was trying to build a mobile prop for my son’s marching band show. I have been debating on attempting some aluminum /wood combo instead of fully wood for durability and lightweight for mobility. ( or all metal somehow) it needs to be 5ft wide by 10ft long with walking ramps on both sides. Looking at two pieces. Thoughts or advice?
