Marvel Rivals Flower of Krakoa battle pass: What’s included and is it worth it?

As with the two previous seasons, Marvel Rivals season 2 includes a brand new battle pass with a plethora of rewards. This time around, the battle pass, named Flower of Krakoa,  is themed around the Hellfire Gala, a black tie event held by new playable hero Emma Frost. 

There are plenty of cosmetics to earn in the Marvel Rivals season 2 battle pass, but is it worth your time and effort? Let’s go through the battle pass in more detail to see whether it is worth investing time in the game to collect its rewards. 

The Flower of Krakoa battle pass is the Marvel Rivals season 2 tiered reward system that gives players the opportunity to unlock a range of cosmetics and other rewards. Players can unlock battle pass rewards with Chrono Tokens, which are earned by completing daily challenges. The rewards that can be unlocked depend on whether the player has the free battle pass or the paid-for luxury battle pass.

The season 2 battle pass for Marvel Rivals includes 10 new skins for 10 different heroes. Two of these skins can be earned from the free battle pass, but to obtain the other eight, players will need to purchase the luxury battle pass. 

Flowers of Krakoa follows on from the Season 0: Chronovium battle pass, which ran until January 10, 2025, and the Season 1: Darkhold battle pass, which ran from January 11 until April 11, 2025. 

There is plenty of content for players to enjoy in the Marvel Rivals Flowers of Krakoa battle pass, although some of it is locked behind a paywall. Let’s look at the battle pass content in more detail to see which items are free and which ones are part of the luxury battle pass. 

Much like the other two previous battle passes, the season 2 battle pass offers plenty of cosmetic content and is definitely worth a look for those interested in this element of the game. While the paid-for luxury pass unlocks everything there is to offer, there is still a fair amount available with the free version, including two of the eight skins. 

So, is the Flowers of Krakoa battle pass worth it? The answer is a resounding yes, as players who don’t want to pay can still unlock a variety of items simply by playing games, completing challenges and earning Chrono Tokens. More hardcore players or those who are particularly into the cosmetic side of the game will want to consider purchasing the luxury battle pass, as there is a much wider array of items on offer. 

Developers NetEase have done an excellent job at creating compelling and accessible battle passes with each season of Marvel Rivals so far, and Flowers of Krakoa is no exception. Here’s hoping that future Marvel Rivals battle passes will continue with this structure and won’t veer down the path of aggressive monetisation.
