Does anyone have a pergola that is on a patio that has steps up to the house? How close is the pergola to the steps?
Our goal is to block the neighbor's view into our house. Looking for an aluminum pergola kit that is above 8' tall but can't find one. We are in Wisconsin and the aluminum kits have better snow and wind ratings than wood kits do. We'd like a roof and back wall for privacy year-round. We have two steps down to the cement patio so the pergola would have to be 2 feet from the steps. We would not bump our heads on the pergola but it is an aesthetic concern. I saw a Mirador video where a family placed the pergola 2-3' from the bottom of the steps. Do you think this is OK or too close to the steps? Attaching photos from the YouTube video hope that is OK.
