Electric air conditional LED indicator
Hello. I am interested in installing an LED to my 240v electric air conditioner as an indicator when it is running. My thought is to run thermostat wire from the G (fan) and C (common) terminals in either the thermostat or the control panel in the furnace/air handler to the LED so it illuminates when the fan is activate, which would be for both cooling and heating. I have 24 volts to my control panel and thermostat. What type of LED is used with AC current? What size resistor would be required? Since the current is AC, is there any other considerations? Thank you. submitted by /u/bluto69 [link] [comments]
