Elevated Playhouse Foundation Help

Hi all, I am planning on building an elevated playhouse for my kids. It's essentially a 12'x10' deck 5' off the ground with a 6'x6' playhouse on top. I'm struggling to come up with a solution for the foundation of the deck. I'd like to avoid pouring concrete footers as our yard heaves a lot in the winter. Our yard is also largely back fill and I don't believe quality of the back fill is very good. For instance, I came across buried wood in some places when digging fence posts. For reference, the deck platform would look something like this: 4x4 posts and 2x8 rim joists If possible, I'd like the foundation to be adjustable to account for movement over time. One suggestion I came across was to use cement pier blocks for each post. To make it adjustable I found brackets like this or this. I would dig down where each pier block would be located and back fill with crushed rock. I also plan on using ground anchors at each corner. I'm just not sure if this is the best route so I'm hoping for some suggestions or guidance. submitted by /u/AKkid [link] [comments]
