Eric Emanuel's Greene St. NYC Flagship Gets a Full Makeover
Eric Emanuel has long been a New York City staple, the athleticwear imprint's first-ever flagship store stationed at downtown NYC's 91 Greene St. For the past few months, the SoHo store has been closed for renovations but beginning tomorrow, Friday March 7, Eric Emanuel is opening its doors once again – boasting a completely redesigned layout. The brand's flagship renovations come just about four years after it first opened for business, with standout features throughout the two-story store paying homage to the original store's design. Once again, Eric Emanuel tapped longtime collaborator New York Sunshine's John Margaritis – who contributed to the original store – to build a basketball sculpture with assistance from architecture and design firm Gensler.Elsewhere on the first floor, a 20-ft white oak wall comes lined with a collection of custom ceramic trophy sculptures designed by artist Jake Clark among striking pops of green marble, balanced with woods, glass and metal.Travelling upstairs, you'll find the EE lounge, which a press release explains is "designed to feel like the brand’s home," lined with floor-to-ceiling custom rugs by longtime New York collaborator Noreen Seabrook, a custom metalwork chandelier by New York Sunshine and a Missoni Roche Bobois sofa.As for apparel, upstairs is home to new ready-to-wear items – outerwear, knitwear and more – while the downstairs houses the exclusive new garments, including an Eric Emanuel x Converse collection of classic High-Tops, some Eric Emanuel x Swarovski loungewear and a lineup of classic NYC graphics.Take a closer look at the 91 Greene St. apparel and footwear in the Instagram carousels below.
