EstrelaBet and Sportradar launch sports integrity initiative for Brazilian esports

Brazilian sports betting operator EstrelaBet has carried out the country’s first dedicated sports integrity initiative in the esports sector, partnering with global sports data and integrity firm Sportradar.

The action marks a significant milestone for Brazilian esports, as the industry faces increasing attention from both regulators and betting operators following the formal launch of Brazil’s regulated betting market in 2025.

The integrity action, conducted with the support of Sportradar, focused on educating esports athletes, coaches, and club staff about the risks and consequences of match-fixing and betting-related manipulation.

The initiative included a workshop that brought together participants from the professional esports scene, as well as representatives from clubs and technical teams.

The training covered the methods used by fraudsters, legal and sporting consequences of manipulation, and practical steps for recognizing and responding to suspicious approaches.

EstrelaBet’s integrity action is part of a broader policy to align with global best practices and current regulations. The company maintains an internal compliance and integrity division, using advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to monitor for suspicious activity.

EstrelaBet is also a member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), collaborating with international alert and monitoring networks to safeguard the integrity of sports and esports events.

The move comes as Brazil’s Ministry of Sports and Sportradar formalise new agreements to strengthen anti-match-fixing efforts, including data sharing, staff training, and access to fraud detection systems.

These partnerships reflect a coordinated effort between public and private stakeholders to ensure a transparent and fair betting environment as the sector grows.

EstrelaBet’s initiative with Sportradar sets a precedent for integrity in Brazilian esports, emphasizing the importance of education, monitoring, and collaboration to protect athletes, clubs, and the wider betting market from manipulation and corruption.
