Feeling overwhelmed. Tried to fix a leaky faucet under my kitchen sink, ended up making it 10x worse. Do I cut my losses and call a plumber?

We moved into a new home and are fixing up some things. One of them was a leaky kitchen sink. It was leaking at the faucet connector from the cold water intake to the sink. I bought a new faucet connector to replace the old one. When I was trying to remove the old one, I think I must have been twisting the connector up near where the faucet is. When I removed the old and put on the new, it was no longer leaking at the faucet connector, I thought I was good! Then I let the water run for 30 seconds and realized it was leaking from up near the faucet and 10x worse than before. Leaking both onto the counter and then dripping down eveywhere around the sink. I'm feeling so overwhelmed by this. I think the next step would be to remove my faucet, but that looks like it will require removing my entire sink, as there is minimal clearance between the sink basin and the wall and I don't think I can get to the faucet. Is this the step where you just cut your losses and call a pro? I feel like I'm just chasing problems and making it worse. submitted by /u/IllIIOk-Screen8343Il [link] [comments]
