Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s long-awaited wedding is officially underway, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the biggest (and most controversial) celebrity events of the year.

The billionaire Amazon founder and the former news anchor touched down in Venice, Italy, and a star-studded guest list is arriving by boat for what’s expected to be a multi-day celebration of extreme luxury. So far, the guest list reads like the front row of the Met Gala. Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble were all spotted pulling up to the festivities in true Venetian style—by private boat, of course.

Oprah Winfrey, Queen Rania of Jordan, and other A-listers have also been seen making their way through the canals.  Orlando Bloom arrived and appeared solo, fueling the rumors on his split from Katy Perry.

While Bezos and Sánchez haven't confirmed exactly when the ceremony will take place, all signs point to a weekend packed with exclusivity and high fashion. But not everyone is celebrating. The wedding has also attracted activist groups, with protestors calling out Bezos for issues related to climate impact, labor rights, and the effects of mass tourism in Venice. They have been rallying for weeks at this point and posting signs with the likes of, "No space for Bezos."
