The Platinum Card® from American Express is an ideal card for frequent travelers since it offers perks like airport lounge access and hotel credits.
The card also has various lifestyle benefits that increase its worth and offset the sting of the annual fee. For instance, you can get up to $100 in Saks Fifth Avenue statement credit awarded every calendar year — the first up to $50 from January to June and the other up to $50 in the second half of the year. (Enrollment is required.)
However, this use-it-or-lose-it credit resets twice yearly — which means this month is your last chance to use your credit for the first half of the year, if you haven’t already.
Several shopping portals offer bonus cash back or points on Saks purchases to help you get even more value out of your purchases. Some airline shopping sites also have bonus mileage awards for Saks purchases. Check out this guide to learn how to stack offers and get the most bang for your buck.
Here are 12 items to consider using your credit on at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Baboon to the Moon Go-Tote Mega tote bag

Baboon to the Moon may be known for its durable and colorful duffle bags, but don’t sleep on its other styles. This massive tote is great for schlepping things to the beach or on road trips. It’s made from ballistic nylon and has a zippered closure, so whatever you keep inside is safe.
Buy: Baboon to the Moon Go-Tote Mega tote bag for $104.30 (normally $149)
Maison de Sabre The Sabremoji fruit charm

AirTags are great for tracking your belongings, and these cute fruit charms are sized to fit one AirTag each. Instead of letting the AirTag float around in your bag, clip one of these charms to your purse, backpack or keychain. I like the orange, but apple, cherry, corn, kiwi and tomato are some of the other options. Though $75 for an AirTag holder is steep, once you get the $50 credit back from Saks, $25 is much more reasonable for something so cute.
Buy: Maison de Sabre The Sabremoji fruit charm for $75
Toptote by Lindsay Albanese The Luggage Tag leather hat holder

Hate carrying a sun hat when you’re flying somewhere beachy? This luggage tag has an embedded magnet to hold the brim of your hat so you can go hands-free in the airport without wearing a giant hat indoors. Toptote also makes a keychain version you can clip to your tote bag.

Bottom line
If you’re still looking for some ideas, consider Beyond Yoga, Hill House Home and Le Labo — all of which are sold at Saks and are popular among TPG staffers. Additionally, you can try the Saks sale section and sort by price to see items that start at under $10.
When shopping at Saks, don’t forget to double dip by starting your purchase at a shopping portal, which can give you bonus points for every dollar spent.
If you haven’t used your Amex Platinum Saks Fifth Avenue credit for the first half of 2025, do so before it resets in July. Don’t wait until the last few days, as items typically need to be shipped before your card is charged and the credit is registered on your statement.
Until then, happy shopping.
