Fixing large gap in foundation wall - cold air and mice getting in!
How can I seal up this large gap/crevasse between these two walls? The old mortar has crumbled to dust. The gap is 1/2" to 2" wide, and behind it is an open cavity. Should I repoint with mortar, or use a backer rod and some other type of sealant? Any advice appreciated.
