Floor leveler or Feather Finish? Before LVP.

I am wondering if I can just smooth it out a crack (like drywalling) with some Feather Finish on each side of the crack - making it a long, smooth ridge. I have an apartment in the lower level. It is a walkout - so not a full basement. Built in 1990 so concrete was done pretty well. But a crack has formed down the middle of the main room and part of one bedroom - making a slight hump. The rest of the floor is fine. I want to put down LVP. It would be parallel to the crack. I laid some LVP boards over the crack and it is too much when parallel. I don't want to level the floor as it is too much work (it is in the middle of winter so hard to mix as water is inside / have to climb out the window, etc.) I may be wrong but I would have to level the entire place as if I did just the main room I would not be able to run LVP continuously. Also, I would have to do it myself as you just can't find anyone to work in our area these days. I need the place finished soon. So either Feather Finish or default to attached pad carpeting. I just don't have a feel if Feathering it might work : ) Please advise. https://preview.redd.it/lc7tk8oaoeke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df4939261ba59580639cddd0350dbffe648e7068 https://preview.redd.it/osfzl4oaoeke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aefe113ddbca72660f3f482e3b90fcd566c90691 https://preview.redd.it/2edh54oaoeke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b88a26de251db29554de85d56d67d134bef3dd1 submitted by /u/Kimchi2019 [link] [comments]
