Fortnite Krypto Treats: What are they, and how do you use them?

The latest Fortnite season, Chapter 6 Season 3: Super, introduces several Superman-themed items and skins to celebrate the upcoming release of James Gunn’s Superman movie on July 11, 2025. 

One of the Superman-related items that players can use in Fortnite’s battle royale mode is the Krypto Treat. Krypto Treats are incredibly useful and can be used in a variety of ways. But what exactly is the Krypto Treat, and how can it be used in the game?

Krypto Treats in Fortnite are a utility item that can be used in Fortnite’s battle royale mode. They were introduced to the game on June 7, 2025, when Chapter 6 Season 3 was released. 

Players can throw a Krypto Treat to summon Superman’s super-powered dog, Krypto. Krypto’s powers are similar to an air strike, as he will land where the player throws his treat, dealing damage as he crashes to the ground. 

Krypto will bark and adorably stand on his hind legs after he lands once the treat is thrown. This doesn’t do anything gameplay-wise, but it’s a cute little animation that makes Krypto feel more engaging as a pup friend rather than just a weapon. 

Krypto Treats are Mythic items found in regular golden chests during a battle royale match. Each treat has two uses, and they can be used at the same time. When thrown simultaneously, each treat summons an individual Krypto. This can also work if players throw multiple stacks of treats at once. Players could technically summon 10 Kryptos at once if they have a treat in each one of their inventory slots. 

To use the Krypto Treat, players need to use the aim button and throw the treat in the designated area marked by the blue circle. Once the treat is thrown, Krypto crashes into the ground, dealing 100 damage to any enemies within the area of effect. Krypto can also deal 25 damage to the player if they are within the area of effect when the treat is thrown. This is frustrating, but it gives the player more of an incentive to use the treat as carefully as possible.

Krypto Treats are incredibly useful items in Fortnite, as Krypto can deal a ton of damage when he dive bombs. If an enemy does not have a shield, he can easily kill them in one hit. If they have maximum shields, he can destroy them instantly, making it much easier for players to take them out. 

When Krypto lands, he can also do significant damage to structures. This makes him a great tool to use when infiltrating an enemy base to flush out opponents or destroy their structures. When thrown strategically, Krypto can also foil the plans of enemy players who are trying to get the high ground with their structures. 

Krypto’s attack can be very disorientating due to his sudden crash landing, which can leave enemies open to attack. This can become even more confusing when players throw multiple treats at once, leading to several Kryptos crashing down within seconds of each other.  

There are so many ways that the Krypto Treat can be used, such as for distraction, disorientation, destruction, or as a finishing move. Because of this versatility and strength, the Krypto Treat is a handy item that can give players a helpful advantage during a match. 

The Krypto Treat is worth finding during a battle royale match in Fortnite. There are various ways that players can use it during a game, making it a particularly versatile utility item.

Krypto can destroy enemy structures, obliterate shields, or finish them off when they are low on health or if they don’t have any shields. Players do need to be careful when throwing the treat, though, as if they are caught within the area of effect, they will receive 25 damage from Krypto’s dive bomb.

Not only are there plenty of ways that the treat can be used, but it also comes with a cute, super-powered pup friend, and what could be better than that?
