Fortnite’s 2025 FNCS Pro-Am event has proven to be popular among audiences, with the event recording over 600,000 peak viewers.
The event, which involved a mixture of professional players and content creators, took place on May 10th, 2025, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
The FNCS 2025 Pro-Am, operated by event organiser BLAST, was won by the pairing of Dignitas content creator Shaun ‘AussieAntics’ Cochrane and Team Falcons player Peter ‘Peterbot’ Kata. The latter is widely regarded as the best Fortnite player in the world after winning the FNCS Global Championship in 2024.
According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the one-day event peaked at 643,995 viewers, making the 2025 Pro-Am the eighth most-watched Fortnite event in the history of the battle royale’s esports efforts.
Fortnite’s Pro-Am events have proven popular among fans and participants. In 2018, the inaugural Pro-Am event recorded peak viewership of 1.9m across its four-hour airtime.
The most-watched Fortnite esports event remains the finals of the 2019 Fortnite World Cup, which recorded peak viewing figures of 2.3m.
What Next for Fortnite Esports?
Following the success of the FNCS 2025 Pro-Am, the Fortnite esports scene turns its attention to the third and final Major of the season.
Starting from July 16th until August 3rd, 2025, Major 3 is the last chance for teams to qualify for the season-ending Global Championship taking place in Lyon, France, from September 6th to 7th.
Before Major 3 gets underway, streaming platform Twitch is set to host the Cracked Cup as part of its Twitch Rivals tournament series. Taking place in Rotterdam, Netherlands at TwitchCon, 20 invited duos will compete for a share of a $75,000 (~£56,201) prize pool.
As one of the most popular titles in the world, Fortnite continues to cement itself as one of the most-viewed esports in the West. With a string of major tournaments on the horizon, the chances of viewership continuing to generate impressive figures are high.
