Fortnite’s leaked dual shotgun is not exactly what it seems—but it still looks OP

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 has just begun, and with it, leaks about upcoming updates are already coming out. One of the most interesting leaks so far is the Pump & Dump gun. First teased in the official Chapter 6, Season 2 gameplay trailer, Epic Games later confirmed in a blog post that the weapon will arrive in Fortnite update v34.10, which is expected to be the next major patch. While the trailer made it seem like a character was wielding two pump shotguns at once, turning the iconic dual pump into a single weapon, new leaks from @LpLeaksNews on X reveal that’s not exactly the case. Fortnite's Pump & Dump is actually a shotgun-SMG dual-wield weapon A video shared by @LpLeaksNews confirms that the Pump & Dump is a dual-wield hybrid, with the player holding an SMG in the left hand and a pump shotgun in the right. The weapon uses both Pistol and Shotgun ammo simultaneously. The leak also shows the Pump & Dump in Mythic rarity, though it's unclear if lower rarities will be added or if the weapon is so powerful that it will remain Mythic-exclusive. According to the leaker, they got the gun through Supply Drops in the current version of the game, even though this should be impossible. https://twitter.com/LpLeaksNews/status/1892941020783944044 From the leaked video, it appears that each weapon can be fired independently, likely by pressing the primary and alternate fire buttons. The Pump & Dump’s two weapons reload separately, meaning players can either fire both simultaneously for a devastating short- to mid-range burst, or alternate shots to eliminate downtime while reloading one hand. The video also shows the gun stats for each hand: Weapon Damage Magazine Size Fire Rate Reload Time Pump Shotgun (right hand) 92 4 0.95 1.57 SMG (left hand) 15 30 10 1.57 Individually, both weapons in the Pump & Dump are weaker than standalone Mythic SMGs and shotguns. This is likely a balancing choice, considering that players can fire both simultaneously, preventing them from being as powerful as other Mythics or even some Legendaries. According to the leaker, the Pump & Dump is set to release on March 11. The post Fortnite’s leaked dual shotgun is not exactly what it seems—but it still looks OP appeared first on Destructoid.
