Gable-end Bathroom Exhaust fan exterior location

So I found out my bathroom exhaust was ducted straight to a hole in the roof that just goes to the underside of our metal roof with no roof vent to be found. I'm hoping to fix this and it seems like piping through the gable end ~5 ft away from fan will be the best option. I live in a very rainy place and I'm not confident enough in my DIY skills to vent through the roof.. I was curious as to what location what be best for this bathroom exhaust fan on the gable end, seen in picture below. I don't want bathroom exhaust getting sucked back in through gable vent and I don't want moisture on the small roof overhang to be an issue. Any thoughts? I'm thinking any of the numbered spots, but open to any other locations. https://preview.redd.it/thzkvh8vkzie1.png?width=1219&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b0e3acac7ba6af5497a1d976926684531265e10 submitted by /u/tdub3k [link] [comments]
