Got a question about what I found behind my drywall.
Hey guys. I’m trying to install one of those tv cord boxes to hide all the wires and cords. I cut the drywall and found a piece of ply wood behind it. It’s maybe 1/2” thick. Directly behind it is another piece of plywood same thickness. They both are secured behind the studs. They don’t go full length of the wall in any direction and there’s one set at the top, then nothing then a set at the bottom of the wall. Is it safe to cut out a section of this ply wood to install this box? It won’t go in far enough with it in the way. My first picture is looking through the hole in the drywall I cut. Second is looking down to the right. Third is looking straight down and fourth is looking straight up. Thanks!!! submitted by /u/Subawoo98 [link] [comments]
