Help me figure out air conditioning for my mom.
Mom’s going through divorce. Dad won’t agree to have funds released to fix a/c in the family home that she’s living in. Summer in Southern California is coming up and I don’t want her to be without a/c. However, all plug-in a/c units require some conduit to the outside and the house has all crank-open windows like this (except they open horizontally instead of vertically) that don’t seem to be able to accommodate a window mounted unit or one with hoses and I don’t know of any other type of a/c that doesn’t need an outside conduit.
