How do I mount an outside corner moulding on wallpaper corner wall?
I have this wall where the wall paper ends and need to mount a small 11/16 x 11/16 solid pine outside corner moulding to protect the paper from being lifted/torn if something or someone rubs up against the corner. It appears there is some kind of corner bead here though and when I tested my nail the 18 gauge brad nail just shot out to the right about 10 feet (2nd pic). Was using a cordless nail gun. I prefer to nail (or screw?) the moulding in because it seems like it would be stronger than just gluing it. Do I need higher air pressure on my nail gun? Get a bigger trim that will go past the corner bead? Any and all ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Disclaimer- I know this corner is hideous. Contractors were careless and scraped against the bottom real bad and drywall guys did a bad job fixing it when I pointed it out. If I put the outside corner moulding on it is completely covered though thankfully. submitted by /u/mariemarie8790 [link] [comments]
