How to attach dog door to old hollow door.
I thought my back door was solid wood but it looks like the previous owner may have taken out a window on the lower part of the door and put two wood panels in (pic 1). So, the door is essentially hollow where I'm trying to put the dog door in. The instructions say to drill holes on the inside of the frame into the door, (pic 1 and 2, red x's)but obviously there's nothing there except for some expanding insulation foam i added in the hollow bit. I think I need something more like a bolt or something that goes through the door completely to hold it in. I'm notsure what to use to make this thing secure. I could really use some advice.
