Parrying and following up with a riposte is your bread-and-butter move during combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but did you know you can dodge? You can, and dodging attacks is a good way to get the drop on your foes. As it is with some gameplay elements, Kingdom Come 2 doesn't do the best job of teaching you how to dodge during combat. In fact, there's a chance you didn't even know it was an option — or you forgot. The dodge move is detailed in the Player menu under the Warfare section in the Combat tab. It's called Evade, and it can be enhanced by spending perkpoints on certain skills. But first, let's learn how to dodge enemy attacks. How to dodge in Kingdom Come 2 Dodging in Kingdom Come 2 can be done by holding a direction while pressing the button or key for jump. Based on your platform, a dodge can be performed by pressing: The space bar on PC The B button on an Xbox controller The circle button on a PlayStation controller Like with the parry, a successful dodge in Kingdom Come 2 is judged by timing the movement when the enemy is about to strike. Holding a direction and pressing dodge when the Perfect Block icon appears (the green shield) will cause you to quickly duck to one side or the other, allowing you to strike a surprised enemy. This is called a Perfect Dodge in the game. It does take some stamina, but it should give you the full view of an enemy's exposed side. They shouldn't be able to parry your strike. To dodge, wait for the enemy to begin their attack. Hold left or right and press the dodge button or key when the Perfect Block icon appears. Attack the enemy after you move to their side. Pressing dodge while holding forward causes Henry to dart closer to the enemy.
