How to paint and repair deck
So as you can see the deck is peeling/ railings aren’t in great shape. Most of the deck doesn’t even have slits for drainage, I’ve made some of my own slits with a circular saw (just at the front door) but heard I shouldn’t do it too much. Is sanding the deck worth it to be able to paint over with a more neutral color? I’m quoted 5k for a repair and paint but wondering if it’s something I can easily do. I know some boards will need to be replaced but is that easy enough. I don’t know much about building a deck so not sure if this is too big of a project. Are the railings something I could do easily?
