How to solve Darts Board puzzle in Blue Prince Billiard room

The Billiard room features one of the most intriguing Blue Prince puzzles: a mysterious dartboard. Unlike the classic three-box challenges, this one offers minimal instructions, making it a true test of wit. We're here to help by showing you a few tips on how to solve it. Blue Prince Billiard room dartboard puzzle solution Although there aren't really any hints for solving the dartboard puzzle in the Billiard room, you can find one clue from a letter. This letter indicates that this challenge involves a mathematical puzzle and has nothing to do with the actual game of darts. Unfortunately for players, this puzzle has no fixed answer, as the solutions are constantly changing—much like the shifting landscape of Mt. Holly. But I can guide you in the right direction and help you navigate through the various equations. Your main focus should be on the colors on the dartboard. When starting the puzzle, four colors can appear, each correlating to a math symbol. Here's a look into what they mean: Blue: Base number for the equation (If there are multiple blues, add them up) Yellow: Subtraction Pink: Multiplication Purple: Division Each color can appear on the board next to a number. Blue-colored numbers are the most crucial, as they are the starting numbers. For instance, if the dartboard had one blue spot on 16 and two yellow spots on one and three, it would translate to "16 - 1 = 15" and then "15 - 3 = 12". Therefore, 12 would be the answer. Sometimes, there are multiple blues, so you'll need to add them together to find the base number for the equation. From there, you can begin multiplying, subtracting, or dividing, depending on the other colors present. Typically, you'll start with one blue section, where you can tap on the number it's on. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you tap this number, more colors will show up. In my case, the numbers five, two, and one were blue. So, the answer would come out to eight. The third equation is where things get more tricky, especially since this minigame doesn't follow the mathematical order of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction). Instead, the order requires you to add, subtract, multiply, and then divide. For example, I had a blue on 10, a yellow on four, and a pink on three. This comes out to "10 - 4 = 6" and "6 x 3=18," meaning 18 would be the answer. Screenshot by Destructoid Each time you solve an equation, the colors will change again. You must solve four equations in total to open the dartboard, with the exception of the first answer (the simple tap of one number). Use the tips above to answer each one, and you'll eventually open up the board to acquire valuable items like a Security Keycard or Key. Although it's not mandatory to solve the dartboard puzzle in Blue Prince, it's still good to do for rewards. You can even come across it again on a different day, whether you solved it before or not. The solutions and rewards inside will, of course, be different—but hopefully, with this knowledge, you’ll be ready to conquer them without losing your way. Although there aren't really any hints for solving the dartboard puzzle in the Billiard room, you can find one clue from a letter.

Here's a look into what they mean:

  • Blue: Base number for the equation (If there are multiple blues, add them up)
  • Yellow: Subtraction
  • Pink: Multiplication
  • Purple: Division

Each color can appear on the board next to a number. Blue-colored numbers are the most crucial, as they are the starting numbers.
