How to teach and attend Hobby Classes in The Sims 4

The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies is all about improving the way you hone your skills while letting you use your talent to create a small business. Alternatively, you can host and attend hobby classes if you prefer skill mastery or want to make money through teaching others. How to attend hobby classes in The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies If you want to improve your Sim's skills quickly, you can attend hobby classes at any Small Business. In particular, Nordhaven's Terra-Potta and Koffieboon businesses have hobby whiteboards to learn about pottery and writing, respectively. You can attend their classes by selecting the Whiteboard and picking Ask to Start Class before paying the fee. Once you ask any Sim to start a class, you'll encounter a goal mini-event to help you improve your chosen skill. In the case of pottery, you'll craft ceramic objects, discuss pottery with other Sims, and listen to lectures that help you rapidly gain experience in the skill. You can do this with any skill as long as you have the right equipment and someone with a high enough level. Getting a gold medal in a hobby class doesn't give you any item rewards, but it will help you progress through the Master Mentor aspiration. How to teach hobby classes in The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies If you want to try teaching other Sims, you can host your own hobby classes by purchasing the Sharing is Caring Hobby Whiteboard for 630 Simoleons and placing it anywhere in a Small Business lot. From here, you can start classes or open opportunities for employee-led classes. Screenshot by Destructoid The money you make from hobby classes depends on your skill level and the number of attendees. Even if you have a lot of attendees, hosting a class when you're only level three or five won't net you much money compared to a max-level lecture. To put this into perspective, having my character host a Rocket Science class when she's only level five would give me 120 Simoleons per participating customer. In comparison, a painting class at max level gives me 360 Simoleons. Much like attending a hobby class, you'll find a goaled mini-event once you start teaching. Typically, you'll find tasks like lecturing, mentoring, and asking about hobbies and skills. You'll even have to show off your skills and demonstrate the activity to others as part of the event. Getting silver and gold medals on this will impress your customers, increasing your small business renown and overall satisfaction.
