How to turn this into Heirloom Globe into a Wizard’s Orb for Pondering
I’m going for a celestial vibe, something you’d see in a wizard’s study room. I love that it can also work as a lamp. Instead of an earth globe I want to make it a giant moon (or maybe an orb to ponder into?) I’m thinking of wood burning runes/sigils/moon phases onto the ring surrounding the sphere, but I’m not sure how to get a crisp looking moon. Maybe some very delicate paper mache? I’m worried about clean execution. Definitely want to lean into the fantasy/whimsical elements but also some astronomical accuracy. Any ideas on execution?
