Ideas for upcycling my mom's wedding dress
Hi all! I'm looking for ideas for what to do with my mom's wedding dress. I'd love to upcycle it into something meaningful and surprise her with it. The dress is beaded and has a long, unbeaded train. She's kind of a tomboy/athlete -- doesn't wear much jewelry and wouldn't really use something like a clutch or a robe. I'm not super crafty myself, so I'll probably hire someone to help me actually make whatever it is. The best idea I've heard so far is lining the inside of a keepsake/memory box with fabric from the dress, which I really like, but even that feels a little over my head right now since I don't have a ton of free time.
