Is this the right way to install hidden cabinet hinges?
I'm attempting to install a door for a an outdoor cubby on my patio. I built the door and attached hidden hinges to the inside frame with the understanding I may have to cut some off of the bottom of the door for it to properly open. I made the cut and this is what I'm running into. The door opens just fine, but when I close there is a large gap where it is angled out at the bottom. This seems to be because the hinges are too far forward. The fix that I see would be to cut the difference from the bottom of the cabinet door to close the gap, however, that won't be the most visually appealing when looking at the face of the cabinet as the lower trip will now be much skinnier. Is this the right approach or should I be considering another option? Wanted to ask this group before I keepaling cuts. submitted by /u/FallFragrant3970 [link] [comments]
