JAY-Z and Diddy Rape Accuser Drops Lawsuit

The Jane Doe who accused Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her when she was 13 years old has dropped her civil lawsuit.The Guardian reports that the unnamed woman filed to voluntarily dismiss the case with prejudice in Manhattan federal court on Friday, February 14. Doe will no longer be able to bring the case to court in the future.Her attorney Tony Buzbee, who has had a public back-and-forth with Hov’s lawyers during the suit, did not comment.“Today is a victory,” JAY-Z said in a statement via Roc Nation. “The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere.” He added that the lawsuit was also traumatic for Beyoncé and their three children.Combs’ lawyers said in a joint statement, “We will continue to fight these baseless claims and hold those responsible. This is just the first of many that will not hold up in a court of law.” While he will not be facing this case, Combs is still sitting in a Brooklyn jail and is set to face a criminal trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges on May 5. The Jane Doe who accused Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her when she was 13 years old has dropped her civil lawsuit.

The Guardian reports that the unnamed woman filed to voluntarily dismiss the case with prejudice in Manhattan federal court on Friday, February 14. Doe will no longer be able to bring the case to court in the future.
