Lamp Repair Help
Hello, I have a touch lamp that refuses to turn off after being turned on. I’d like to wire it so that its always on if power. I’ve looked at many lamp repair guides online, but none are able to help me figure out to disassemble it. Compared to other lamps, this doesn’t seem like it was built to be as repairable. I am able to unscrew the base and locate the internals, but the wire that is routed up to the lightbulbs is extremely taut. So taut that I can’t really access the internals. I think I have to undo the wiring for the light bulbs, but I can’t seem to figure out how. None of the metal pieces around any of the light bulbs spin. There is a screw, but I’m afraid that if I completely unscrew it, I won’t have a way to feed the wire back up during reassembly. How easy would it be to re-route the wire up after being repaired? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/MutagenX [link] [comments]
