Los Angeles Thieves has won its second consecutive Call of Duty League 2025 Major after beating Atlanta FaZe to win CDL Major 4 at DreamHack Dallas.
Despite only placing fourth in the Major qualifiers, LA Thieves toppled Atlanta FaZe 4-2 in the finals to claim valuable CDL Points and $150,000 (~£110,750) in prize money.
Alongside LA Thieves’ crowning achievement, the Major also finalised all eight competitors for the season-ending Championship Weekend.
Coming into the event, all eyes were on how Los Angeles Thieves would do following its Major 3 victory in April. As a fourth seed, the organisation started the event in the upper bracket quarter-finals, and it seemed that this lifeline was ultimately needed.
Despite convincingly beating Vancouver Surge 3-0, the franchise lost to the Major 4 qualifier’s in-form team, Miami Heretics, in a back-and-forth five-game series 3-2. This pushed LA Thieves into the lower-bracket where it had to defeat Toronto Ultra (3-1) and 2024 CDL Champion OpTic Texas (3-1).
After Miami Heretics lost 3-1 to Atlanta FaZe in the Upper Bracket Final, Los Angeles Thieves got its shot at revenge by securing a 3-0 victory against the full-spanish roster.
In the end, LA Thieves would defeat Atlanta FaZe to not only secure the trophy but to claim top stop in the CDL points tally. With this win, LA Thieves enters Championship Weekend with 540 points, while second place Atlanta FaZe has recorded 505.
Here is a full breakdown of the Grand Finals match-up, which took place during DreamHack Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center:
- Game 1: LA 250-177 ATL — Hardpoint, Red Card
- Game 2: LA 6-4 ATL — Seach and Destroy, Rewind
- Game 3: LA 2-4 ATL — Control, Protocol
- Game 4: LA 235-250 ATL — Hardpoint, Skyline
- Game 5: LA 6-3 ATL — Search and Destory, Red Card
- Game 6: LA 3-0 ATL — Control, Hacienda
- End score: LA 4 -2 ATL
Which Teams Are Heading to Championship Weekend?

Taking place in Kitchener, Canada from June 26th – 29th, Championship Weekend will see the top eight CDL franchises battle it out to become the ultimate Call of Duty champion.
Before Major 4 began, 110 CDL Points separated five teams that were still in contention for a place at the season-ending tournament — Carolina Royal Ravens, Boston Breach, OpTic Texas, Minnesota Rokkr and Cloud9 New York.
With three spots remaining, it was Carolina Royal Ravens, OpTic Texas and Boston Breach that made it to Championship Weekend.
In the end Royal Ravens and Boston Breach qualified for the final event of the Call of Duty League season without securing any CDL points during Major 4 after suffering early exits to Toronto Ultra and Minnesota Rokkr, respectively.
The closest to usurping the qualified teams ended up being Minnesota Rokkr. However, 30 points weren’t enough to reach Boston Breach.
In the end, Rokkr concluded the CDL 2025 Season with 165 points compared to Breach’s 200. OpTic Texas’ impressive run to the lower bracket semi-final garnered the organisation 45 points, helping it leapfrog Breach into joint sixth place.
The top eight in the Call of Duty League 2025 are as follows:
- Los Angeles Thieves (540)
- Atlanta FaZe (505)
- Toronto Ultra (370)
- Vancouver Surge (330)
- Miami Heretics (295)
- Carolina Royal Ravens (220)
OpTic Texas (220) - Boston Breach (200)
