Marvel has published an eight-hour video of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine breathing in hopes of helping fans de-stress.
The lengthy project, which Marvel Entertainment has labeled a “breathing exercise,” found its way to YouTube as a surprise upload earlier today. It’s remarkably strange and arrives around eight months after Deadpool & Wolverine came to theaters and about five months after it premiered on Disney+. Of course, to no one’s surprise, it’s already racking up the views.
The Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel has posted an 8 hour and 36 minute video of Hugh Jackman in his Deadpool & Wolverine suit just staring at the camera breathing... menacingly! pic.twitter.com/Yue9479cpa— IGN (@IGN) April 8, 2025
Around 40,000 superhero fans have already tuned in to hear Jackman growl in their ears since Marvel uploaded the video a few hours ago. Most are calling the eight-hour video an April Fools’ Day joke that got left behind, but oddly enough, Marvel is actually directing fans to use it to de-stress.
“April is National Stress Awareness Month, so breathe deep and feel your adamantium bones melt away,” Marvel explains in the Wolverine Breathing Exercise video’s description.
Every one of Wolverine’s gravelly breaths is backed by tense Marvel music, so to some, it may not be the most calming way to spend a casual April evening, but others may find it meditative. If you’re brave enough to stick around throughout the entire eight-and-a-half-hour runtime, you might even catch a few jump scares that look a lot like Jackman is doing his best to recreate an iconic Wolverine pose.
