Michelle Obama Talks About Divorce in New Podcast Episode

Michelle Obama is about to reveal some new details about her life in a forthcoming video podcast, named IMO (which stands for "in my opinion"). She'll host it with her brother Craig Robinson (who is also the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches) as they discuss almost everything but politics. In the first episode, which will debut March 12, the former First Lady and her brother will talk divorce.

"With everything going on in the world, we’re all looking for answers and people to turn to," Obama shared in a statement. “We’re living through some really complicated and confusing times and on top of that, folks are trying to juggle family life, work dynamics, relationships, aging parents, and more... Craig is one of the people I turn to whenever I have anything on my mind. He always has the insights, the wisdom, and the humor to get me through anything. Together, we’ll share our perspectives about some of your questions."

The first IMO episode between Obama and her brother will cover topics of family and friendship. Robinson opens up about his divorce to his first wife and his second marriage to Kelly McCrum Robinson. This all comes as former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have been facing rumors about their own relationship and a potential separation. Obama will talk about her marriage on the new podcast episode, according to The New York Times, likely addressing ongoing rumors.

"We grew up talking through life’s big and small questions together," Robinson added in another statement on the debut video podcast episode between him and his sister. "Now, we’re inviting listeners into that conversation, with the hope that it sparks new ideas, new perspectives, and creates the connection we could all use right now."

On top of the episode between Obama and Robinson, another will drop on Wednesday. New episodes are scheduled to drop weekly. Future guests on the show include Issa Rae, Keke Palmer, Seth Rogen, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Jay Shetty, Tyler Perry, and more.
