Microsoft Announces Two New AI-Powered Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft has announced two new models in its Surface Copilot+ PC lineup, unveiling a compact 12-inch Surface Pro and a refreshed 13-inch Surface Laptop.Surface Pro, a 2-in-1 device that can be used as a tablet or a laptop, is being launched in an all-new 12-inch size – a slightly smaller form factor than its predecessor that has been "crafted for portability" yet "built for performance" and aimed creatives on-the-go. The new 12-inch model becomes the "thinnest and lightest" model across the ensite Copilot+ PC range and features an adjustable, built-in kickstand together with a detachable keyboard, as well as a tweaked design that now allows the Slim Pen stylus to attach magnetically on the rear of the tablet for both storage and charging.Microsoft debuted its AI-powered Copilot+ PC laptops last year, making two sizes (13.8-inch and 15-inch) available at launch. Crafted with anodized aluminum, the new 13-inch Surface Laptop sits alongside these and delivers subtle if considered changes that include the introduction of USB-C fast charging as standard (Microsoft has ditched its proprietary charging port with its latest model) and the series' longest battery life yet. Both models are powered by Qualcomm's super-fast and powerful Snapdragon X Plus processor, with Microsoft even claiming that its new Surface Laptop "outpaces the MacBook Air M3".On the design front, Microsoft is introducing two new colorways, "Violet" and "Ocean", that join the returning favorite “Platinum” for a total of three finish options across the lineup. The new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are available to preorder now via Microsoft’s website. Pricing starts at £799 GBP / $799 USD for the Surface Pro and £899 GBP / $899 USD for the Surface Laptop, with the devices launching May 20 in the U.S. and June 10 in the U.K.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
