Mounting a Standing Desk - Drywall Advice
Looking for some potentially very basic advice. First time mounting anything this heavy to drywall. Bought a mounted standing desk: https://www.deskstand.com/en-us/collections/featured-deskstands/products/wallstand-standing-desk. Live in a very small apartment with my partner and looking for a way to have a standing desk when I need it but disassemble it when I'm not. Total weight with the shelves attached is 40-45 lbs. The included instructions and screws use two drywall screws at the top of the wall piece for mounting. I know that drywall screws/mounts are typically rated for 25-50 lbs each but something about the set up makes me uneasy as it's my first time. Am I overthinking this? Any recommendations to go against the instructions here? submitted by /u/CureSadWithButt [link] [comments]
