Need advice on specifications for DIY full support, dog wheelchair

Reposting from r/dogs and waiting for mod approval since their bot categorizes this as medical advice. Full support wheelchair for a 15 yr old german shepherd mix. I have been referencing "K9 carts full support wheelchair." Here's some of my questions: I see two versions for the hind legs area, some have the wheels at a slight obtuse angle vs a straight 90 degree angle. Anyone know why that's the case? Which would be better? for those who are handy, anyone know if its possible to cut PVC at such an angle and keep it in place? What is a comfortable, strong material I could use for the straps? Doggo will need support at the front, middle/stomach area, and hind legs/thighs. I plan on putting boots for the hind feet for drag/skin protection Front wheels will be a swivel type of wheels. Most reference pics I've seen has the legs pointed straight down, then a separate obtuse angle piece to keep the wheel in place. I understand that its to avoid having the wheel run over the dog's paws, but this is usually made with a type of steel material bent into place. I'm planning on using PVC. Could this design potentially be too heavy for the PVC pipe to handle? should I keep it at a straight 90 degree angle but have the overall "chair" be wider to accommodate the swivel? I am not handy whatsoever. I am running into this blindly and doing my best with youtube research. Please and thank you. submitted by /u/jigglyblob [link] [comments]
