The Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) has again recorded impressive viewership statistics, garnering over 220,000 peak viewers for NLC Spring Split 2025.

The second split of the 2025 NLC season saw Los Ratones emerge victorious after defeating NORD Esports in the Grand Finals.

According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the event peaked at 223,615 viewers during the Grand Finals between Los Ratones and NORD Esports, the two most popular teams competing in the league.

Los Ratones recorded 2.3m hours watched while NORD Esports saw 1.1m hours watched across the event’s 77-hour airtime. The interest in the two teams is due to several notable League of Legends personalities and popular esports players competing for each roster.

Despite NLC Spring 2025 viewing figures being lower than NLC Winter 2025, the overall picture for interest in the league is promising as the year progresses. NLC Winter 2025 recorded peak viewers of 360,545, with the majority coming from matches involving Los Ratones and NORD Esports, which also competed in the Grand Finals.

What Happens Next Following NLC Spring?

With Los Ratones and NORD Esports finishing first and second in NLC 2025 Spring, the two teams have secured a place at the Spring edition of EMEA Masters.

The sixth edition of the tournament will see 32 teams from across Europe competing for a share of a €60,000 (~£50,619) prize pool.

Los Ratones has been drawn in Group F, with its opening match taking place against Hangry Knights on June 4th. NORD Esports will compete in Group C and play ZennIT in the first match of its campaign.

Los Ratones heads into the event looking to defend the EMEA Masters title it won in March after sweeping aside Ici Japon Corp. in the Grand Finals. The team, founded by popular League of Legends streamer Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, is one of the most popular teams competing in Europe. In March, Caedrel discussed ambitions to enter the top tier of the esport.
