Ossou Is the New Minimalist Label Making Denim Feel Sculptural

A new label has officially entered the chat. Ossou, a women’s ready-to-wear brand with an emphasis on thoughtful design and structure, launches today with its debut collection.

Ossou is co-founded by creative directors Nina Khosla—who previously founded Fforme—and Talia Shuvalov, whose experience includes stints at Alexander Wang and Narciso Rodriguez, as well as her own fine jewelry line, Erede. Ossou takes its name from the word "bone"—a fitting metaphor for the foundational approach the brand brings to dressing. Rather than chasing trends, Ossou is about rethinking staples and building a refined wardrobe that lasts. Think: softly sculpted leather shirts, jackets that cinch in at the waist, and trapunto-stitched shirting that feels more couture than casual.

At the core of the collection is denim—but not the kind you're used to. Khosla, who grew up in San Francisco (the birthplace of the jean), was inspired to reimagine denim as a luxury textile. The result is a lineup of jeans made from Japanese fabric and crafted in Los Angeles, treated with the same reverence as traditional indigo. The washes are earthy and minimal, designed to age beautifully over time. Even the hardware is bespoke—subtle mixed-metal shanks and zipper pulls created in collaboration with industrial designer David Caon.

Rounded out with knits, shirting, soft leather separates, and outerwear, the collection evokes the kind of quiet luxury that feels lived-in.

Ossou is now available to shop at ossou.com, with prices ranging from $295 to $1,295.
