Oddly placed tile trim between tile and carpet
The previous owner set this up with the tall part of the L trim about an inch from the tile, with a bunch of grout dumped on top of the flat side of the L trim to fill the gap. I keep seeing info about Z or T transition strips. AI suggested filling it with sanded caulk. Any recommendations for what to do here? Replace the grout? Pull up the L trim? Would one of these work? https://www.homedepot.com/pep/TrimMaster-Silver-2-1-2-x-in-x-36-in-Seam-Binder-Transition-Strip-H2750-M-3/202247353 https://www.homedepot.com/p/TrimMaster-Silver-2-in-x-72-in-Carpet-Trim-Transition-Strip-H6034-H-6/202247404 If so, how do I fasten them to the concrete slab underneath? submitted by /u/pseudophony [link] [comments]
