ONLY NY Drops New MTA Collection Celebrating the City's Bus Lines
Expanding upon its successful collaborations with NYC's MTA, ONLY NY has unveiled a new collection focusing on the public transit system's widely used bus lines. With a mix of new and archival MTA graphics, the brand offers everything from hoodies, quarter-zips, caps, graphic tees and keychains imbued with the brand's sincere and nostalgic sensibilities.In an Instagram post highlighting the campaign shot in Brooklyn, the brand expounded on the themes, "Inspired by the official emblems of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bus divisions, we’ve designed two distinct patches that pay tribute to each borough’s network." "Guided by the mantra ‘Connecting New York to New Yorkers,’ this release reflects the essential role of public transit in linking the city’s infrastructure with the communities it serves," the post continued. Elsehwere, a heather gray tee and a black hoodie feature a more antique looking graphic that reps all of the city's boroughs on the back and an MTA Bus Department emblem on the breast. For more quiet iterations, the MTA Token tees and the Apple Logo Quarterzips feature smaller appliques.For accessories, black, green and navy caps feature embroidered patches, debuting Brooklyn Division and Manhattan Division emblems, and reprise the Apple Logo.
