oversized foundation for queen mattress?
hi! my wife and i just got a queen sized mattress that’s 14” tall and we both like the look of pallet beds like this one: https://collectivegen.com/2017/03/diy-pallet-bed/ the pallet bed itself seems like a whole process of making sure the wood is treated a certain way etc so i was thinking we could just get a wooden “box spring” that would normally go in a bed frame and it would look like a pallet bed basically. i’ve included a link to the box spring here: https://a.co/d/2YBTjev my question is - we both like the look of having the wood border around the bed, so we were thinking of getting a king sized foundation for our queen mattress. if we pushed the mattress into the corner of a king foundation, would this mess up the support of the mattress since it wouldn’t be centered? if so could we just add an additional support beam underneath? thanks for any insight! sorry this is long winded! submitted by /u/Apprehensive_Book_16 [link] [comments]
