Ovrkast. Reveals Release Info for His Sophomore Album
Oakland's very own has unveiled his next move. After being announced as Saba's support on his imminent The Big Picture Tour, Ovrkast. has lifted the curtain on his latest LP, which will mark his second studio album.Entitled WHILE THE IRON IS HOT, the emerging California talent's next new project is set to drop at the end of the month. He's already started heating up the release with its lead single "I'M ON," which landed paired with a cinematic new music video and last week's live beat-making event hosted by the rapper himself at NYC's Essx streetwear outpost.Earlier this month's "Small Talk" with Samara Cyn is also set to land somewhere on the tracklist – though it hasn't been revealed yet.WHILE THE IRON IS HOT will land as Ovrkast.'s first full-length release in five years, and, per a press release, will "feel refreshingly modern, [while still] harkening back to the sample-based production and lyric-centric approach that defined hip-hop's golden age.""Alright, it took a loooooooong time to get to this point.
