Looking for a creative solution to this issue
Hi - our house has a west facing backyard with very little tree coverage. During the summer, it gets HOT back there. I bought and installed a retractable awning, which works great during most of the day. However as it gets closer to evening, the sun is low enough in the sky to render the awning pretty much useless. The awning company sells a front screen that I purchased. The way it works, there's a little slot in the front of the awning, and you slide the screen through that slot and pull it. It kinda looks like this when installed. The issue is, it's difficult to slide the screen into the slot without having more than 1 person. I'd like for my wife to be able to easily use the front screen when I'm not around. I'm trying to find a creative solution to roll up the screen and have it easily released when needed. Things I've considered: Velcro attachment points that you could attach once you roll up the screen Towel clips (we tried this and the canvas screen is just too heavy) Any creative ideas to solve this one? submitted by /u/Habeas [link] [comments]
