Pokémon Go ‘Deep Depths’ event guide

Pokémon Go’s “Deep Depths” event is focusing on water- and dark-type Pokémon and runs from March 19-24.

The event also has a halved hatch distance bonus for all eggs put into incubators during the event, so make sure to do so if you’re keen on hatching eggs. Clauncher is making its shiny debut with “Deep Depths,” and players will be able to find shiny Clauncher at an “increased rate.”

The other focus of this event is the Pokémon Go debut of Nickit, the dark-type fox Pokémon from Galar. There are a few ways to grab Nickit from this event, so you should make the most of it and score enough to capture and evolve one while you can.

Pokémon Go ‘Deep Depths’ event Timed Research and rewards

As usual with these types of events, there’s both a paid and free research, with the same name.

Is the paid “Deep Depths” Timed Research worth buying? Yes, the two Super Incubators you get as a reward make it worth it the $2 price tag alone. If you are really burning for a Nickit and you don’t want to deal with eggs or trying your luck with it spawning, this is also a guaranteed way to get one. Just make sure to finish the research before the event ends on March 24 at 8 p.m. (in your local time) or else you won’t get the value from the research.
