Pokémon Legends Z-A launches in October, Pokémon Presents coming July
Nintendo confirmed today that Pokémon Legends Z-A will launch on Oct. 16, alongside releasing the cover art for the game for those who buy the physical version. The news came as quite a shock when I opened social media and saw the release date staring me in the face—especially considering we had no indication that any of this was happening anytime soon. But there we go, Nintendo and Game Freak have confirmed an oddly early release date, and I couldn't be happier considering it releases the week of my birthday! https://twitter.com/NintendoEurope/status/1927712870441103760 On top of the release date, Pokémon has also confirmed a new Pokémon Presents presentation will be running on July 22, likely to tie in with Z-A and give trainers a first look at more gameplay and maybe (hopefully) reveal some new species. Not much else is known about the game following this release date bombshell out of nowhere, but it's exciting to think we are just over four months away from the first big new Pokémon game in nearly two years. For those leaving under a Geodude, Pokémon Legends Z-A in the next main line series game in the Pokémon franchise, and trainers are set to return to the Kalos region, the sixth generation of Pokémon games, to explore Lumiose City and try to catch 'em all. It's also the first time in the Switch era where you'll be able to use Mega Pokémon, which haven't been in a Pokémon game since the 3DS era. The game will be available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Switch 2 version having improved visuals and framerate over the previous generation version, making it the go-to for anyone who wants a smooth experience when exploring the world. There isn't really much else to say here, so I'll just end by reminding everyone that the game comes out Oct. 16, and it can't come soon enough.
