Rain washes out mulch on sloped mulch bed.
So I have a mulch bed that slopes downhill. When we get a good hard rain, the water runs along the end and pulls the mulch out and washes it down the hill into my yard. Is there any good way to keep this from happening? I was considering putting in a French drain around the bed, but not sure if that would help or not. Like I said it’s only an issue when we get a hard rain so I’d be worried that the water wouldn’t get down to the drain and it’d just wash out the mulch anyway. But maybe French drains would work. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/briandickens [link] [comments]
