Range hood duct improvement
Hi, I live in an apartment and recently installed a vented range hood and built a 25' long 4" duct to went it through the window soffit. Upon testing the duct appears to be too long for the hood to move air through effectively. The duct also has a few turns. I'm thinking about putting in an inline fan (6" fan with 6" to 4" adapters) to help move the air out. Questions I have for the experts: is it better to put the fan in the middle of the duct or closer to the exhaust point (window)? Any other considerations or tips?
