You know what they say about March: It comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. I don’t know if that’s true — whether your metric is weather, stress, or simply Girl Scout cookie availability — but it’s a good reminder that the end of this month should include a little bit of time for easy living. Appropriately, this week’s new TV provides a lot of reprieve — whether you want to escape into the world of video game comedies, pulpy thrillers, showbiz satires, or big guys fighting each other.

Here’s the best new TV premieres and finales to watch this week.

New shows on Netflix

Caught

Genre: Thriller
Release date: March 26, with all episodes
Showrunner/creators: Ana Cohan and Miguel Cohan
Cast: Soledad Villamil, Alberto Ammann, Juan Minujín, and more

Based on a book by Harlan Coben (a name with a ton of cachet in thriller book-to-TV circles), the Spanish-language Caught follows prominent reporter Ema Garay (Soledad Villamil), who’s known for catching criminals. But complications arise (as they are wont to do in a thriller) when the suspect in a teen’s disappearance is someone close to her…

New shows on Prime Video

Reacher season 3 finale

Genre: Big guy action
Release date: March 27
Showrunner/creator: Nick Santora
Cast: Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten, Sonya Cassidy, and more

It’s all come to this, as it always does: Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is going up against the odds and going to battle the bad guys. This time he’ll be backed by a small team of trusted comrades, but will it be enough to take down a smuggler’s entire operation in the midst of a big party?

New shows on Apple TV Plus

Side Quest

Genre: Mythic Quest spinoff
Release date: March 26
Showrunner/creators: Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney
Cast: Rob McElhenney, Anna Konkle, Derek Waters

You know how Mythic Quest has those little one-off episodes each season, like season 1’s “A Dark Quiet Death,” which followed the complete, poetic life cycle of the fictional game Dark Quiet Death? Side Quest is sort of like that, a four-part anthology following the lives of employees, players, and fans in the Mythic Quest universe who aren’t in the main show.

The Studio

Genre: Showbiz satire
Release date: March 26, with two episodes
Showrunner/creators: Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez
Cast: Seth Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, and more

Matt Remick (Seth Rogen) is living the dream: He’s the newly appointed head of a film studio. And yet, the embattled studio has seen better days. And with movies struggling to stay relevant, it’s up to Matt and his core team — executives who are all wrestling with either each other or the narcissistic artists and corporate overlords they serve — to try to make great films.
