Replace basement subfloor?
I'm removing a carpet and adding LVP flooring in my basement. Subfloor doesn't look that good to me, mould? House is from early 90s, humid in summer in Nova Scotia, Canada. There's a concrete base under all that. I'm thinking removing all subfloor down to the concrete, adding a layer of DMX, some Durospan for insulation, and then plywood on top. This combination will keep the height the same to match the rest of the basement that I'm not planning on working on. Does this make sense? Also, do you seal the gap between exterior wall and subfloor in a basement? submitted by /u/random1001011 [link] [comments]
