Replacement windows diy

I've replaced a few windows before (new vinyl inset, in old wood frame). New house, new projects... I have several modern vinyl fixed windows (designed to not open, they are just for light). The inside is unfinished space, just the original studs. Outside of the house is finished, with vinyl siding. I'm not excited by the idea of messing up the siding/building envelope and risking future leaks, but willing to learn the proper steps to do it right. Given the inside is unfinished and the outside is finished, what type of window should I even be considering? New build, inserts but keep the existing windo frame, or something else? Thank you! submitted by /u/sigat38838 [link] [comments]
